Alice has been killed. Now how did that happen? Jake Shore’s THE SLIDE IS THE NEGATIVE takes you through a series of events that led up to this precarious but not totally unexpected event. Joe (Ryan Tramont) and Anne (Sophie Moshofsky) are married, as are Barry (Brad Fryman) and Kelly (3-time Emmy-Award-Winner Cady McClain). These couples share friendships, successes and failures, lofty ambitions, sexual partners, and a peculiar bond cemented by hostility and love. Each character is fascinating in their own unique way. Their sexual encounters hold far more than interesting positions and betrayal of spouses; they are a means to release truths that are usually kept secret and a declaration of self that would normally not surface. Sometimes the results can be disastrous. THE SLIDE IS THE NEGATIVE reminds us that, as you peel back the onion and reveal the realities, there is a point where you can go no further.
