On a stage full of different shaped mirrors, Azadeh Kangarani brings her acclaimed solo show, ECHOES OF MY SILENCE. Daring to look at the effects of being a woman has had on her life, she challenges the audience to take the journey with her. In this 60-minute production, she chronicles the events of minor and major abuse – being taken advantage of while vulnerable, being sexually assaulted, weak and strong moments, and self-criticism. Through it all she remained silent. Kangarani is a powerhouse, mixing honesty, humor, and wisdom together as she peels away layer after layer of trauma. What better way to deal with ECHOES OF MY SILENCE than to write an impactful play? She did.
