Ben Andron’s BROKEN SNOW will keep your attention riveted to the modest room in an abandoned house that serves as the stage for this tense and often hilarious play. There you will find slow-talking, soft-spoken, and oh-so-cruel Kris (Tony Danza), Steven (Tom Cavanagh), who may or may not be searching for something against his better judgment, and young James (Michael Longfellow), a warped chip off the old block with delightful comedic timing. These three bring this production to impressive heights as they unravel secrets, reveal bits of themselves, and create a tenuous bond. Director Colin Hanlon keeps the pressure tight while allowing for humorous relief at just the right times. BROKEN SNOW is a perfect vehicle to display the complexities of its characters and the talents of the cast that portray them.
